On Tuesday June 27, 535 boxes of mac and cheese were delivered to Hands on Hartford. When Ginger opened up the back of her wagon the girl looked inside and then looked at her in astonishment!! She asked if that was all for them. I said certainly. It turns out that they had no pasta left and were giving out mac and cheese like crazy and were beyond appreciative for this delivery.
Thank you for your support!
For your continued support of Copprome Orphanage in Honduras.
Join us for a variety of music genres (Broadway, Patriotic, Sacred, Secular) that are all carefully chosen, prepared, and performed to support the Kateri Medical Clinics of Nigeria. There is no entrance fee for the concert, but all are invited to contribute to support medical care for the very poorest of the poor in rural Nigeria, where a dollar goes a long way to bring health and dignity to people we will never meet, but who matter to God.
If you are interested in the mission that we support, please go to www.KateriClinic.org
How to donate: Check payable to “Kateri Medical Services, Inc. (put Tapestry in memo section)

Our parish purse ministry allows us to fill purses/bags with toiletries and other items that we distribute to people who are experiencing homelessness or transitioning from a shelter to living on their own. Please consider supporting this ministry in these ways:
Monetary Donations
Make your check payable to Trinity Parish with “Purse Ministry” on the memo line. Checks can be mailed to the office or placed in the plate on Sunday. Or, put cash in an envelope with “Purse Ministry” written on the outside and put it in the plate on Sunday or drop it off during office hours.
In-Kind Donations
Toiletries and other small items (e.g., travel-size shampoos, soaps, and conditioners; notepads, etc.) are welcome. They should be left in the Purse Ministry Room in the basement on the right at the bottom of the stairs near the office entrance. Thank you for making this program possible!

ACKNOWLEDGING THE LAND
December 10: Land Acknowledgments in the Episcopal Church in the US and Connecticut
All are welcome to this final part in the three-part series (following the 9:30 service)
Garth Myers, Leader
Land acknowledgment statements are becoming common for churches, colleges and universities and other institutions, in the US and around the world. They are seen as a means of coming to grips with both the past and present injustices and harms in settler colonialism, imperialism, and capitalism toward Indigenous peoples. What do these statements mean for us, and what actions or engagements, beyond mere words, make sense for our parish? As Christians seeking to be "contemplatives in action," how can a process of acknowledging the land lead us to a "right relationship" with our Creator, ourselves, our neighbors, and the earth? We will explore these questions in three Sundays - one in each month beginning October 15. The three sessions will expand our conversation outwards, beginning with our immediate space in Wethersfield, building outward to the greater Hartford area, and then the diocese and the US.
Sunday December 10th
1:30pm.
We will meet in the Parish Hall
and travel by car to visit Trinity’s Shut-Ins and some neighbors on Main Street.
After caroling we will return to the Parish Hall for hot cocoa and fellowship.
All are welcome!
Hope to see you on the 10th!

We delivered two carloads of items to the Friendship Center on Dec. 19. Items donated included: bedding (not only blankets, but comforters, bedspreads & Sleeping Bags), towels, underwear, socks, hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, shoes & slippers, winter sweaters, a few toiletries and 4 boxes of baby clothes (courtesy of Sean's Closet) --- so much that we couldn't even begin to count them all! The timeliness of the baby clothes could not be overstated - they have several pregnant residents and truly looked at the boxes as a gift from heaven. The staff was overwhelmed and are very grateful for Trinity's generous support.

Let Justice & Peace Flow
...is the theme for the Season of Creation 2023
"Prophet Amos cries out: “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5: 24) and so we are called to join the river of justice and peace, to take up climate and ecological justice, and to speak out with and for communities most impacted by climate injustice and the loss of biodiversity.
As the people of God, we must work together on behalf of all Creation, as part of that mighty river of peace and justice.
